Paula Pitman Brown has been teaching art for thirty-six years. Currently she is teaching art courses at The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and privately teaching art as well. In her private art teaching she works with adults and teens to develop their portfolios.
Previously, Paula taught at Chelmsford High School, The DeCordova Art Museum, and grades 6-12 in the Waltham Public Schools. Her classes included A.P. Art, painting, drawing, and sculpture.
Paula graduated with distinction from Massachusetts College of Art and Design with a BFA in Painting and Art History. Her art education classes were through Suffolk University and Boston State College.
Currently, Paula is consistently creating her artwork based on storytelling allegories which are inspired by personal ideas and art history. She is also an avid scavenger adding found objects to many of her works. Her work is mostly shown around the New England area.
